Quoceant to speak at RUK Wave & Tidal Conference

We hope you can join us at the RUK wave & tidal conference on the 28th February 2018 in Glasgow. Quoceant Director, Richard Yemm, will give a presentation within session - B3: Taking a Fresh Look at Known Challenges: Being Smarter about O&M.

His talk will focus on; Enabling Marine Renewables: Establishing Cost Effective O&M Facilities in Remote Locations. Some of the best sites for developing tidal and wave energy projects are located remotely, often far from existing infrastructure, with limited road access and high vessel mobilisation costs. Developing a local O&M strategy and facilities in such isolated settings is challenging, especially so for early stage, small scale projects. However, early design consideration coupled with innovative tooling and procedures can enable a cost-effective and low environmental impact solution which maximises local benefit, and minimises up front capital investment, O&M costs and thereby the ultimate cost of energy from marine renewable projects.
