Quoceant are pleased to announce that Michael Kent has joined our team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. He will initially support in our mooring design and modelling work packages.
Michael brings 9 years' design and engineering experience, with 4 years' experience in the offshore wind industry from his previous role as an engineer with a mooring line supplier. He has expertise in synthetic mooring ropes, technology qualification and project management.
Since graduating with an MEng degree in Product Design Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in 2015, he has developed products ranging from headphones to camping equipment. However, he is now passionate and focused on using his skills to contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
Michael joins Quoceant at a busy time for the company as we continue to work with clients on cutting-edge engineering projects across floating and fixed offshore wind, wave energy and heat storage sectors, in addition to accelerating the development of our subsea quick connection system: Q-Connect.
