Quoceant win a place on the Offshore Renewable Energy CATAPULT's, Launch Academy programme, to support commercialisation of Q-Connect quick connection system for offshore wind. ORE Catapult is an independent leader in testing and demonstrating cutting-edge technologies, fostering sector collaboration, advancing research, and boosting UK economic growth.
The Launch Academy established in 2020, is a technology acceleration programme funded, in part by, BP, Scottish Power Renewables and Scottish Enterprise. The nine month programme, supports the commercialisation of UK-based SMEs as they seek to introduce innovative new products and services into the offshore wind industry. This year the program is kicking off in Newcastle with Quoceant and the other nine companies with the aim to advance progression of the offshore wind industry .
Speaking on the Launch Academy program, Ravneet Kaur, Senior Technology Acceleration Manager at ORE Catapult, said:
"Launch Academy provides a platform for businesses to develop their technology or services, access mentoring and expertise, secure funding, and collaborate with industry leaders. We aim to create a vibrant ecosystem that fosters innovation and accelerates the commercialisation of cutting-edge technologies that benefit offshore renewable industry and the UK’s supply chain."
Speaking about the award, Rosalind Hart, Co-Founder and Senior Consultant Engineer, said:
